Active Abbey Adventures!
Please join Abbey People and Historyworks and ChYpPS as we come together to mark 'Abbey People Care for Nature Day' on Saturday 21st April between 10am and 1pm. The venue is outdoors on Coldham's Common.
From 11am to 1pm Historyworks will be providing a geocaching trail with history summaries to unique and hidden places around the Abbey area, with a special focus on the old rifle range and the jurassic story of the coprolite deposits on Coldham's Common. There will also be badge-making for children to leave history-themed illustrated badges in the toy boxes, and an opportunity to make Pterosaur puppets and a Pterosaur scavenger trail with toy prizes! Abbey People with provide refreshments of hot dogs and hot chocolate for all participants, and the event will kick off with a litter-pick between 10am and 11am, meet at the gates closest to the Abbey swimming pool, where the craft and history and geocaching activities will be set up!
