HISTORYWORKS’ MARIE CURIE FUNDING APPLICATION

Historyworks has collaborated with a Marie Curie International Training Network led by the University of Iceland for a medieval literature project including University departments in Norway, Denmark, Holland, and UK called “ Constructing the Past: Creating the Present”.  Historyworks will coach the project members in outreach and media skills, 8 doctoral research students and 4 postdocs, and help bring the next generation of medieval scholars into communicating their ideas to wider audiences beyond academia.   Historyworks has devised a schedule of media training workshops for the PHD students.  This may include dissemination skills: writing press releases, creating features for magazines and newspapers, web design and web writing, storyboarding and scripting, presentation and narration, sound recording and editing into audio podcasts or radio broadcasts, stills photography and picture editing and vodcast illustration, video filming and editing into documentary shorts, app development and app production.
